About Market Committee
Establishment of Kalyan Agricultural Produce Market Committee, as per Section 4 (1) of Bombay Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act 1939, On 01/05/1957, the Paddy and Rice have been declared as market areas. Currently, Kalyan Agricultural Produce Market Committee's area of work is Kalyan Revenue Taluka, which includes 121 villages and two big cities like Kalyan and Dombivli.
Though the market committee was established in 1957, the work was started from in the year 1982. The jurisdiction of the market committee is geographically very important and Mumbai-Ahmednagar is going national highway through the works area, Mumbai-Nashik and Mumbai-Pune are also highways, and Mumbai-Nashik and Mumbai-Pune railways are also in the works area of the market committee.
Durgadi Fort is located in the market area of the market committee and a famous temple known as the Birla Temple at Shahad; which is a Temple of God Vitthal, Ganapati Temple at Titwala, and a famous historical place from the perspective of tourism.
Physical and social facilities are excellent in the working area of the market committee.
